Soil stabilisation

Grass reinforcement mesh (also known as soil stabilisation matting or turf reinforcement mat) is used to add strength to grassy slopes and river banks.

Constructed from a coir fibre matting stitched between high tensile strength polypropylene netting, grass reinforcement mesh encourages thicker grass and firmer banks.

The polypropylene netting helps to stabilise the topsoil which is laid above and below the matting. This provides the strength and longevity that enables our grass reinforcement mesh to be used for bank protection even where high flow or heavy runoff conditions are encountered.
