About the A.G.A. Group
The A.G.A. Group is a collective of specialised companies providing expert solutions for environmental contracting and ecological consultancy.
Divided into two, the A.G.A. Group Enviro-Fix team look after all contracting and construction projects, whilst the A.G.A. Group Consultancy oversee all ecological surveying and projects relating to fisheries and water quality management. Invariably projects overlap allowing us to amalgamate a wealth of experience across a multitude of disciplines. What’s more, we also manage our own ten-acre aquatic nursery and fish farm, ensuring the best possible quality of all plants and materials for the projects we undertake.
In addition, we offer a range water quality solutions through our Lake Aid website.
Over more than twenty years, we are proud of the relationships we have built with Centre Parks, Drayton Manor, the Broads Authority, Anglian Water, Balfour Beatty, the Canal & River Trust, Jersey Zoo and many more.
We are also members of the Institute of Fisheries Management, the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management, The Royal Society of Biology, The Society for the Environment and The National Farmers’ Union, so when it comes to ecology and land management, our team has unrivalled experience.
Our history
Ash Girdler formed the A.G.A. Group (Ash Girdler Associates) in 1999.
Author, Chartered Biologist, Chartered Environmentalist and Professional Member and Fellow of the Institute of Fisheries Management, Ash has had a coveted reputation in the field of Ecological Consultancy for over thirty years.
The introduction of the A.G.A. Group was as an umbrella for the various different components of Ash’s expanding bioengineering business, incorporating aspects of conserving, restoring and enhancing the natural environment — especially ponds, lakes and rivers.
In 2012, Ash’s son, Jake Girdler, joined the business. Captivated by engineering from a young age, Jake quickly took a natural role in project management, taking the lead also on design and construction opportunities.
Now in 2021, the business, formed of A.G.A. Group Enviro-Fix Ltd and A.G.A. Group Consultancy Ltd, collectively employs fifteen full-time staff, operating out of a ten-acre commercial nursery in Norfolk.
